Abstract

This is a review of a book published in Arabic in 2023 and translated into French the same year by the Centre de Publication Universitaire. The purpose of the book, entitled ‘Le Doit à l'oubli, Étude juridique’ (The right to be forgotten, a legal study), published in Arabic by Fatma Krouma and translated into French by Besma Kamoun-Nouaïri, is to examine the key concepts and clarify both the areas of application and the fundamental principles of the right to be forgotten, in order to fill the gap in academic research on the issue and to ensure that the parties concerned have a better understanding of this right and its implementation.
The book is an important resource for both the general public and legislators, and could provide readers in general and decision-makers in particular with valuable assistance in implementing Tunisian legislation on respect for personal data and the right to be forgotten.
