Submission Guidelines for IBLA Journal

The journal accepts a variety of article proposals, reviews, or book reports, which must be submitted through its platform.

Authors interested in contributing to the IBLA journal must register on the journal's platform and log in to submit their proposal.

Each submission must be accompanied by a short bio-bibliography, including the contributor’s first and last name, email address, institutional affiliation, research areas, and, if applicable, a list of past or ongoing publications.
If the contribution is accepted, the information provided in the bio-bibliographical notice will appear under the "Author" section.

The opinions expressed in the contributions are solely the responsibility of their respective authors.

Types of Submissions

Guest Editing an Issue

If you wish to guest-edit an issue of the IBLA journal, either individually or collectively, you can submit a two-page thematic proposal to the editorial committee via the journal’s platform. This proposal should outline the theme and key issues of the special issue.

You must ensure that your project is relevant, original, and clearly defined.

The proposal should be accompanied by the following elements:

  • A tentative title for the issue;
  • Names, affiliations, and bio-bibliographies of the editor(s);
  • A scientific committee comprising at least five colleagues from different national and/or international academic institutions with relevant expertise (publications, supervision of research on the subject);
  • A list of potential authors (if already known) before issuing the call for contributions;
  • A summary of the division of responsibilities (if the volume is co-edited);
  • A tentative production schedule for the issue, which must be approved by the journal's editorial committee.

Your proposal will then be reviewed by the editorial committee, which will decide whether to accept or reject it and may provide recommendations.

Once your project is approved, you will be required to draft a call for contributions, which will be disseminated within the academic community in the three languages of the IBLA journal.

Upon the call’s closure, you will be responsible for collecting and selecting contribution proposals.
If a proposal is accepted, you will inform the authors of the deadline for submitting fully written articles.
You will also relay the journal's guidelines, editorial protocol, and publishing policy to contributors.

Once the full texts are received, you will forward them to the journal’s editorial committee for final evaluation and further editorial processing, independently of the guest editors. (Authors will be informed of this process.)

The editorial committee commits to sharing its evaluation report with the guest editors and engaging in discussions with them to ensure the publication of a rich and innovative volume.
The editors will then communicate the committee’s decision to the authors.
At the end of the review process, the final acceptance decision rests with the editorial committee, in accordance with scientific standards and the journal’s editorial policy.
